Will this set work on a standard 2018 ram 2500 (front) or will they be to long? I would like to know the length of the flap below the top cut out so I can measure how much will be hanging below the fender well.

These will work for you but they will need to be notched out to make room for the hump that is in the front wheel well. They are not a custom fit for the RAM.
